A removable partial denture is a denture that replaces 1 or more missing teeth. Teeth are placed on a metal framework and uses clasps to secure fit.

Reasons for needing a partial denture:
- they prevent other teeth from drifting
- stabilize your upper denture

There are different types of partials:
Transitional: a temporary denture, often called a flipper, made of acrylic. Used when someone needs temporary replacement of teeth before getting a bridge or implants.
Metal: made from Chrome-Colbalt
Titanium: made from a thinner and lighter material that's biocompatible.
White: frameworks can be made with a flexible tooth shade material.
